Local One and Enchanted
Yay! The League and Local One have just organized another meeting for tomorrow. It seems that (after reading many blogs in an attempt to procrastinate my seminar presentation) the strike has been hitting EVERYBODY really hard. I always had this impression that the Broadway actors were well-payed, but it seems that it's more difficult than that. After reading the details, I'm not sure I entirely agree with the strike. It seems as though the stage hands already have a lot of benefits . .? Maybe I'm just misinterpreting the issue.
At least the strike has been a boom for off-broadway. Altar Boyz sales are apparently 300% up.
Either way, I hope it ends by December 10th *crosses fingers*.
After reading nanukdabear's post, I REALLY REALLY want to see Enchanted. It looks extremely funny, and all the Disney fairy tale references will probably bring back my childhood. Idina Menzel is in it too, although I've never been overly fond of her.
