The hotel room seems more quiet than Liliana remembers. The first time they visited it they were looking for a brief escape. Just a little time together away from the chaos that was their lives. The first time they were here it had been more sweet than bitter. That can't be said now.
She leaves the window open so he can hear the ocean crashing to shore. There isn't much to say. She can tell by the haunted dark eyes that he really doesn't have words yet. So, she sits behind him on the couch in front of the open windows. Lily wraps her arms and legs around Tyler holding him as close and tight as she can.
She wipes away any tears that fall. Her fingers thread through his dark wavy hair in a soothing manner. Her touch is her way of letting him now that he isn't alone while he figures this out. It's not really grieving yet. Lily is sure that he has yet to accept that his sister is gone.
If there were right words for this she would kill to have them. Because deep down she thinks he needs to be able to grieve the loss. Deep down she believes it's unlikely that enough of Lexi remains to salvage being his sister. But she can't say that. Not when she knows that his belief she is still inside the demon wearing his sister's face is the only thing keeping him from shattering completely. How can she take away his hope?
