It's in her dreams that he still haunts her. Those light eyes that revealed nothing or everything depending on his mood. The way he saw right to the core of her and liked what was there. He had strong hands that were always desperate not to hurt her.
Sometimes she really wanted him to hurt her.
In the dreams she's taunting him in his office. The door is closed, and he's sitting behind his desk. His face is expressionless, those light eyes are staring right through her, but they don't reveal his mood at all. If anything it's like looking into a mirror. All she can see is herself.
The reflection of how he sees her.
She's a good girl who he wanted to pamper. A good girl he wanted to make strong. Didn't he see the warning signs? She was a slayer, baby. Slayers are rarely all good. They have to crave the dark or they wouldn't be able to do their job.
He's as dark as they come.
Somewhere in the taunting and teasing he strikes as fast as cobra. She's pinned between him and the desk and there is fire reflecting in those eyes. He's going to burn her and make it hurt. She knows it before he even leaves the bruises.
It's about time.
That's what she thinks as she muffles the scream in his kiss. He haunts her and torments her, and sometimes she's afraid she will wake up screaming his name. But she can't allow that to happen. She loves Tyler. She's not going to give into the darkness that is buried within her.
Aidan was a dirty little secret and he will remain just that.
