So, you get rid of the jungle and toss in a graveyard. Instead of a wolf pack, have ghosts raise the orphan boy. Instead of a black bear, a vampire. No pesky chimps; pesky ghouls! As a retelling of a masterpiece by a master, this book was rather enjoyable. The entire family stayed intrigued and entertained during the whole read. Gaiman has not disappointed us yet... it's bound to happen some day, don't you think?
