Felt like updating. God, I need to get to posting pictures sometime! Maybe I'll get one of those handy flickr accounts or whatever. Might be easier.
Oh my bro had his new baby boy last week! His name is Asher. :3 Congrats Dustin -- I still need to call you. Worst sister ever...
Japan's pretty awesome you guys. LOL I actually did go through some homesickness the first month or so, but now I feel like Alipon all over, all the time, so it's all good. I still miss my family and friends back home a lot -- I'll get a pang of sadness randomly on the train or whenever I'm suddenly reminded of home. But pretty much all the time I'm super genki as usual -- well, I'm tired as hell sometimes, but not like the down and out kind of tired, just the omg i taught first graders all day on 5 hours of sleep tired. HAHA
I'm really starting to have a lot of fun teaching. It used to be kind of terrifying, but I'm getting used to the Japanese teachers, and I'm learning some kid's names, so I'm getting more comfortable and learning to just goof off with the kids. They like it when I make faces. And I'm good at that, so I win. XD
I babysit a 6 year old girl once a week too, just speaking english to her -- I read her stories and stuff. She's really cute. Gives me gigantic hugs and wants me to spend the night sometime. Her mom is really nice too, and when she gets home from work, she cooks me dinner and makes sure I'm out of there no later than 7:30 'cause she knows I'm busy. :3 I'm really glad I have this little part time job.
So, yeah, work is nice. I'm getting to know my coworkers pretty well, especially at my base school. God, I love that school. hahaha I've hung out with them outside of work a few times, tomorrow is another party, but only for us ladiez. So I'm sure the gossip will FLY. xD Actually, I kinda like this one guy there... And a couple people have already suggested I date him LOL. Dunno how he feels tho... o_o;; But yeah, anyways -- won't get into that LOL
Despite all the rain we get in June, I'm really enjoying myself here now. It took awhile for me this time. When I came to Japan to study I was like super-excited and all but this time, I was all nervous about work and living on my own and getting to know the city, but now I'm finally adjusted and I'm finally feeling that super-excitedness that I felt in Nagoya XD Feels like home now. <3
Anyhoo, just thought I'd update a little.
Tomorrow is finally Friday.
