yeah, I'll get to that later.
Thursday was a busy day. I still hadn't packed and had lessons when I got home which went really well, so that was good. I <3 Hindemith & I <3 the etude I'm doing so it's all good. I still haven't played my picc though since all-state... hmm, maybe I should get on that. Haha. After lessons, I had to rush to do my twisties which came out like shit, but whatever, and then I didn't do my curlers which I had planned to do because we were supposed to leave around 5-5:30. So, I do that, I pack, I'm done. My mom got stuck in so much traffic, so I really could have done my curlers & then some. We didn't leave till about 7. Got to the hotel in Albany (Which was so nice) at around 10:30. My parents were hungry, so they went to get food, and I stayed behind because I wasn't hungry and did my curlers. I figured get them over with now bc I didn't know how much time I'd have time Friday to do them. Whatever, we went to bed around 12, it was nice.
Friday morning we woke up, got dounkin donuts & then went on our way to Potsdam. Holy shit, was that a long & boring ride especially when your MP3 DIES. That road right before Potsdam, I can't believe just how long it is, and how deserted it was. We werre defintely like the OnLy car on the road for a very long time. Geezez, but I honestly LOVE it up there. That little town is so cute. And the college. Forget it. We got there right on time, around 12, and went on our tour. It was BEATIFUL out Friday, nice & warm, so it made it that much better. I loved everything about the school. Everything. The kids were really nice, too, and seemd much more down to earth than the kids at Ithaca. And the food looked so good. That's always a plus. And Crane. Omg. I need to get there. It amazed me. Every last minute of this part of the tour AMAZED me to no end. I was like a little kid who was seeing the world for the 1st time. I really, REALLY, loved this school. We left the school around 4, and then stayed in Potsdam for the night. Which was an adventure. There was a mad college party that went on across the street from our hotel! Haha. Went to some Italian place for dinner and it kicked ass. And then we were all tired & cranky & I also had a sore throat, so we went back to the room to chill. I practiced actually for a little bit, and then did some homework, well pretended because I went online for a little while too on my mom's laptop. hah. But the day was amazing, I absolutely am in love with Potsdam in every way possible.
Ugh, Satuday was a hard day. We drove down to Flordia, New York, because I had a state gymnastics meet. The ride was like, 7 hrs, we got lost, of course, but we still got there pretty early & I got to see my girls & see how they all did. They all quailfied including the newbies! Yay! And they all placed pretty well, too. I'm proud of them. I was in a squad with Nassau (YAAY!!!!) and two other girls from my gym who were only doing beam on my level. We started on bars. Now, before I tell how I did, know, I competed on a very badly sprained ankle that is still black & blue AND I was convinced this would be the funniest meet of my life & it turned out to be that way, and turne dout to be one of my WORSE meets of my life, too. The scoring was unbelievably low & ridiculous in a way. I didn't think it was fair, but at the same time, it's all relative, but, still. So, we start on bars. I didn't do anything right on bars. I didn't cast high enough & I didn't make my free hip too nice, but my fly away half was nice. I took a step on the landing because of how badly my damn ankle was hurting. I knew that was bad. yeah, I got a 7.75, hahahah, worse bar score this season. I did bettter when I tapped my feet on my freehip at ENA. hahahahaha. Funny shit. Beam was good. I hit everything, and sitll somehow, only got a 9.3. But we had my favorite judge! Marsha! I <3 her. Floor was a disaster. I fell on my 1st tumbling pass in sliver. And when I fell I 1st thought I broke my foot so I didn't get up for a minute. And I also kneed myself in the eye, because I guess I expected my second front tuck to be higher and I never opened up. Ugh, and then, this is the freaking best. After my 3rd tumbling pass, which btw, I'm in hysterical tears by now because my foot hurts so much, after I do my tuck full, the guy TURNS OFF MY MUSIC. And so, I kept on going and ended, with no music, AND HE TURNS IT BACK ON! And I turned around, and god i hope the judge didn't hear this, and I Say to the guy "What the fuck do you think you're doing?!? Our music is cut perfectly!" But the judge didn't deduct for it, thank god, because she knew it was his fault. I got an 8.3 on that routine and with a fall, that was pretty good. Whatever, 1st time all season I fell, so, I mean, I'll take that. Then gold floor really killed my ankle even more. I hit all my tumbling and all my skills I needed to, and came off the floor crying like a little kid because I could bearly walk. Ugh, it was SO badly swollen & I tstill had to compete vault. I got an 8.5 on my gold routine... Blah. Once again, lowest score of the season. (FYI, I got my highest beam score tho! What?! LoL) So, we go to vault, I warm up one, and then just compete one, and I stick it. Hells mother fucking yeah. :-D So, at this time I can't walk anymore. But whatever, awards come. I got 3rd place floor/all-around, 2nd place bars (?!??) & vault & then this is the best - 1st place state fucking champion on BEAM! And my gold floor routine! WHAT THE FUCK! I had the worst meet of my freaking life & then ended up with two state titles. HELL YEAH MAN! Whatev, I'll take it. lol
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It's been a long weekend. And my ankle. Forget it. So bad.
OH, and did I mention I quailfied to nationals on everything! Whooo-hoo!!!!!!!!!! Squeeeee! Ft. Lauderdale here I come man!
