Gymnastics tells you no...

The art show was cool. The weather was perfect this morning & everything just seemed good, even if I did forget to set my alarm clock this morning. haha. And Val & I kicked some major ass on our duet that repeated a million times. And it actually sounded REALLY good on piccolo. We even got perfectly in tune. It was niiice. We kick ass & so does that Haydn duet.

I might try out for this Nassau-Suffolk performing arts thingy - I sheduled an audtion, we'll see what happens I guess. I'm a little skechy just cause if I get in, I have to pay $400. After I get my new flute, I don't think my parents are going to lend me a dime for anything. I don't know - I'm just going to use it as another audition to get used to this stuff before I have to do college audtions. I think I'll just play my all-state solos, which will be fine because well... Yeah.

Speaking of All-State, I got a 95 on flute & 98 on piccolo. Not too shabby, I would say. My judge was my flute teacher's teacher when he was my age... Ironic. She was such a nice person. It's done and overwith though, so yay! Never have to do this stupid NYSSMA shit again. Next year I'll play a fun duet. Or maybe learn another instrument... Hmmmm...

I am IN LOVE with Paul Hindemith's flute solo. I can't get over how much I'm actually enjoying working on this & how much I've already practiced it. The 1st movement is beautiful. Absoutely without a doubt. I can't take it. I love it so so so so much.

I rolled my ankle on Monday sprinting before we vaulted, and it's HUGE. And black & blue. Today was the 1st day I actually did SOMEWHAT anything since it happened. This blows. Oh yeah, did I mention.. States is this Saturday. Someone will have to carry me out of this meet because it's going to be dead.

Concerts went well so far. Now, Monday is going to be the hard one to get through. It's really sad to think it's going to be the last time I'm playing in band or singing in chorus with some of these kids. Some of my absolute best friends. What is a girl to do without her best friends? The seniors give me chills when they do their song. I'm going to be an absolute mess Monday. Ugh, this is has been such a great year, and it really sucks to know these people won't be there with me next year. I feel so left out :-( There's too much talent leaving Wind Ensemble. Chorus will be tough too, but do-able, I think. But Wind. I don't know. I feel like there's at least half of all the sections are leaving. Ugh..

I had the most amazing night last night with Jasmin, Meg & Britt. I love those girls to death. We had a girls night last night, which consisted of going to Friendlys and stuffing our faces and then going back to Jasmin's where all we did was laugh for a good two hours. And I took them all for a ride around the block in my car since they wanted to see how I drive. hahahah <33333

Ahhh, SAT, ACT, regents, COLLEGE APPOINTMENTS... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, tooo much, STATE MEET. Ahhhhhhhhh pleaaase just kill me. lol

Gymnastics tells you no. All day long. It mocks you over and over again. Telling you- you're an idiot. If you like running at full speed towards a stationary object, vault is for you. If you like pulling pieces of skin the size of quarters of your hands- bars is for you. Because the only thing more fun then rips, is when your rips get rips. It's super sexy. And floor, are you serious, who doesn't want to parade around in a leotard getting wedgies and doing dorky choreography. If you like falling, then gymnastics is the sport for you! You get to fall on your face, your ass, your back, your knees, and you're pride!

...how true is that
