I figure I should write about inagural. I wasn't too excited about it this year. The whole guest deal had left me a little sore . Besides -Freshmen year, the dance is exciting because it's new. Sophomore year it finally feels comfortable. Senior year it's the last. Junior year isn't as special.
Not to say that it wasn't fun. Jenn Claire needed a ride, so she came to my house a little earlier and my Dad did his picture bit. The gym did looked very nice, as did everyone present. I actually meant it when I told me they looked nice. I tried to say something unique so people realized I was really complimenting them and not just being polite.Tim King danced to Michael Jackson and Roberto was his Roberto self. Unfortunately, there was no Mr. Graebe to do the Harlem Shake. Jimmy and I tried to tango, which was kind of funny without tango music. I almost tripped down the stairs about ten minutes into the dance and took my shoes off right after. I tripped barefoot later anyway, though, and I might have stepped in a Snapple spill. "Hey Ya" was the last song, which made really happy. I just happened to be right by a bunch of the old murder mystery crowd, which is only right. The song is a classic cast party inside joke that involves charades and John Jennette.
Afterwards I just went home. I don't think many people I knew were going out, so it was just as well. This way I could wake up early today and go to Red Bank with my parents. I have a new favorite store, it's called Ten Thousand Villages, and it's fair trade. There were so many things I wanted to buy, including my new $8 school bag.
