Yesterday was actually a good day. I was 15 minutes late to school (what else is new) but eventually found a group of students trying to figure out what we were supposed to be doing. We ended up sitting outside the main office until Mr. Wall told us everyone was in 201. So I got in for a few minutes of freshmen fun day planning, helped decorate Mrs. Kain's room, gave a new Latin teacher a tour of parts of the school, and went back to decorating Mrs. Kain's room. Mrs Kain's room just got a lot of new junk, including a dress mannequin wearing an old costume prom gown we found in the conference room closet. Jimmy made himself a poncho of out of purple web lights we found. By the time I left, they were stringing purple yarn across the room to hang things from.

Then I went to Steph's house, and was surprisingly early, which rarely happens. In eleven years of knowing Stephanie this was the least lost I've ever gotten getting to her house. It was fun to meet all her Monsignor Donovan friends, especially because she's met so many of our Saint Rose people. I had a really good time.

Today was fun too. I attempted to drive to the beach, but had some difficulty pulling out (facing forwards) from my driveway. After that difficult turn I wasn't sure I actually had the drving skills to go further, and of course there is a police car directly behind reflected right there in the mirror. Then I felt alright after another turn, but Mom decided she wanted to drive over the bridge. I got back in the drivers's seat after we were in Point.

Going to the beach has been an event all too rare this summer. Today the water was comfortably warm with relatively few jellyfish for August.

The Red Cross lady never called me back about volunteering today so I stayed almost all day at my Grandma's, which was pretty awesome. I drove her to Bay Head. I didn't hit any geese, pedestrians, or parked cars. For some reason I feel like that is a major accomplishment.

I'm not 100% sure how beach volleyball came about, but was something different. It turned out pretty well, even if we didn't play much volleyball. Sometimes, it's just good to have a girls' night out ( with out without Ray). Jumping off the lifeguard's chair was definately highlight, and I'm not exactly sure why. It was also really good to see Chrissy, I haven't seen in her in a really long time. At the end of the evening, my Mom and I ended up standing at the end of my driveway talking for a while with Chrissy and her mom, which reminded me of all the old times.

Sorry these have been really long boring posts. Please do not trouble yourselves to read long boring posts. I just feel like writing- and don't feel like sleeping.
