So, I haven't been on here much lately (this week has been quite hellacious) so I will provide a nice little recap.
My birthday was the usual dinner and drinks routine (but with some of my favorite people nonetheless). Couldn't stay out too late, since me and the boy had to be at work somewhat early on Friday.
Saturday, we went down to the old tattoo shop to get the background for the faery on my left arm. After about 3 or so hours of collaborating we came to the conclusion that we were not quite seeing eye to eye on the concept I was trying to achieve. So we decided to give it some more time and come back in a few days. Well, Collette (Holy Mother in Little 5) calls me on Monday and asks if I can come down and check out the sketches she did. This time, we were both right on point. I loved all the ideas she had, but had to narrow it down and customize it a little more. (and on a side note, she lives in a kick ass, huge, Victorian style, renovated house and there is one that is availabe for rent a couple houses down, so just keep that in mind for later in my post) So......
We finally get to "almost" tattooing. She just finished putting the stencil on my arm and was touching it up with the marker when, all of a sudden, I felt like I was going to pass the fuck out. Well, my stomach had been hurting since that morning but I really didn't think much of it. Apparently, my body wanted to get......well..... you get the idea. I don't think I have to go into detail about what happens when one's stomach hurts and what they need to do in order to make themselves feel better.
So, after two attempts at trying to stand while she drew over the stencil, I finally did what I had to do and felt 100 bazillion times better and was able to continue to the actual tattooing process. It's getting really late by this point, so she asks me how much longer I can take getting tattooed. I (of course) am totally ballz to the wall mang, so I said do it all. But she was getting tired (shit, she was only working on it for 12 hours) so I graciously told her that she didn't have to finish it ALL that night. She did, however, want to work on it for about 2 more hours (at this point I think she had been tattooing for only about an 1 or 2) so she smokes and goes back inside to eat a piece of pizza. Well, not even 5 minutes later the power goes out all over Little 5 and The Highlands, so I ended up only getting the outline. It's ok though, because Sunday I will be able to get tattooed again (which of course, in that sick way, I am excited about). Ok, on to the next topic of the roomie situation.
On Sunday I go and eat with Tim and Chris at Jason's Deli then we head over to World Market. Of course I can't resist buying things in that store(or Pier 1 or any store like it for that matter) so I make a couple of purchases and we head over to Joe's house to check out the spare rooms he had for rent (I am moving out of my current living situation as soon as the lease is up in December). I figure, it's really not that far away and it's a pretty big life change, so I better start looking now. Joe's house is really nice, but a little out of my price range, so I decide that I must keep looking. Funny thing is, that night a friend of his calls him and says that she is going to need a roommate around the same time I am (and I've met this girl before and we seem like we would get along wonderfully) so Joe gives her my number to call. She calls the next day and we talk about plans for possibly being roomies at the end of December.
So now, we basically have to decide if we want to stay where she is living now (which would definitely be in my price range) or look around and find other places that are just as suitable, if not more so.
Ok, so remember when I put in that side note somewhere at the beginning of this post about a cool house in Little 5 (if you don't, then you weren't paying attention mang)? Well, the guy that owns it called me while I was at work today and wants me to look at it on Sunday. If this house is anything like Collette's then I would be in heaven. Hardwood floors, fireplaces, high ceilings, large bedrooms, garden space outside, sun room, and just a huge space in general. So, we will see how it goes.
Alright, that is all you bastards are getting for now. Shoo, shoooo!!!!!
