taco bell, why do you mock me so?!
i've been known to eat at taco bell from time to time. i've also been known to have to give up eating at taco bell for lent one year to try to curb the fact that i'd end up there at least 3-4 times a week. let's face it...i just can't stay away from the border. last night i decided to take them up on their new 99 cent zesty nachos. my favorite menu item of their is a nacho supreme (no sour cream, no tomatoes) and these zesty nachos seemed very similar, but with a kick. i walked down to my local taco bell to partake in this new flavor only to be demanded a sum of $1.49 instead of $0.99! i couldn't believe it. the only new ingredient in this item is "zesty jalapeno cheese sauce" and it's just a squirt, not even a dousing all over. so i had to pay a 50% markup on some drips of jalapeno like flavoring so you could ship a couple cases of the stuff over to hawaii?! well, i ate it, and it was only mildly zesty...i'm sticking to my nacho supremes.
