summers over ...
closed out the summer with the mother of all colds. or maybe it was the plague. actually had to use sick days for being sick! such a waste. sadly, i infected others, including K-sKandY, who had to take the valium that she's been saving for *five* years.
this all meant that i ate a lot of spicy, salty, and vinegery stuff, since I couldn't taste much else (and you know that really uncomfortable thing where you have to eat in small bites because when you're chewing, you're using the only working oxygen passage? ew.)
thankfully, i recovered in time for a crazy food weekend. friends in from outta town, friends making that trek over the bay for sistas steppin in pride, for the chinatown festivities... ymm... happy families, zodiac cafe, jade villa, festivities food (cuban steak sandwich..mmm...)
with the fall, feels like changes coming...
- happy marriedness ... cat & muhammad, msk & pc, spidermonkey & emily, and nahla & her weatherman
- happy back to schooling ... tazzy "she's a star" star, anita "i don't know what my last name means" poon, and albert "why are you back in ithaca" liu
- happy birth days ... wilfred, lizziedz, nazbah, MOM, and my favorite manfriend fflood
- happy new home ... to me!
'bout to head to DC and nyc (again) for some quality family time, homecooked meals, and (more) weddings.
'bout to miss my love as he journeys through europa on the transdub massiv promotional tour.
'bout to act on some serious intentions (1) spanish learning, (2) kickboxing, and (3) working hard on the two jobs before movin on.
and finally, 'bout to transition out of this angry phase {verbal, physical, and emotional confrontations with people i don't need to be bothered with}. don't quite know how that's going to happen yet, but i'll work on it.
