An Ironic Moment

I find it only a little bit ironic that while watching a history channel show about the biblical exodus my relaxed Saturday morning was waylaid by a knock on the door by the local Mormons. They seem very nice and I do not doubt their belief in the little book they passed off to me, but I really must find a way to get them to leave me be. I do not believe in ANY organized religion, and the fact that they are clever enough to travel in pairs and have built their very large (and the exterior was the only part of it we saw when we drove by) and very pretty temple in Salt Lake City means that even if I were inclined more strongly to the Christian dogmas I still wouldn't be signing up for their church.

Must find nice way of saying that I'm not interested, without fueling their evangelical need to try to convert me. I'm certainly not well versed enough in scriptures to do what one of my high school friends did, which was damn near convert the pair that they sent to convert her. Consequently they had to try to send in a new pair, with equally dismal results for them at least.

I shall have to ponder on this, though suggestions are welcome.
