Last weekend was a very fun weekend for the dragon, she went to Naka-kon in KC. Highlights included a panel with Christopher Bevins and Talisen Jaffe who were the voice directors for Beck Mongolian Chop Squad. It is an awesome anime that if you haven't seen it, see it. The actors themselves do the singing for the series and it's a wonderfully normal (no magic, no mechas, no monsters) high school setting about a boy and a rock band. They showed off merchandise that no one in the dealers room had. Which was a downside. Getting to meet Kari Wahlgren who does the voice of Robin from Witch Hunter Robin and of Ashe in FFXII.
So I have autographs to purr over and loot from the dealers room. Lots of anime pins for my jacket, some posters, and a couple of pencil boards and a Saiyuki calender. I've got more than plenty to purr over. Also the Nebraskon room party was a great deal of fun. All in all a good if tiring weekend.
A much belated Happy Valentine's Day to everyone on the flist. I hope it was a good day for all y'all. I spent it with a friend having desserts at the B&N Starbucks. Did get a phonecall from the boyfriend-type before he went to bed, so for once I did not have the desire to go out and celebrate F*** You Valentine's Day on the 15th. Which made for a nice change of pace I reckon.
I've caved on my stance to never play D&D and made a drow fighter last night for a new campaign. Tonight it'll either be that or Cyberpunk, I'm finally starting to get into the Cyber character so hopefully it'll be a fun night tonight.
