A more in depth update.
Xmas with Chris' family went much better than Thanksgiving if only because of there being much much fewer people. I guess he's going to get to be an uncle again, the two nieces he has are cute.
Upside, holiday time was much less stressful also because I have parted ways with SnS for what I hope is the final time. I think I'll slit my throat before I think about ever going back there for a job. Looking back I don't get how I lasted so long, I spent the better part of a decade working for that company and have very little to show for it. Instead I now have a much less stressful job opening and sorting boxes of books at MBS. It's M-F 7a-3p and if I have to work on Sat. I get *paid* for the overtime. Paid I tell you, that beats the snot out of a 54hr/wk salaray job, beats it hollow.
I really ought to get onto the internet more, I feel like I've been disconnected from keeping up with folks I don't see much anymore. I think I'm about squared away on getting my sleep back on track. Also I'm enjoying the chance to actually play the collection of video games I've acquired that I never seemed to have time for before. Kingdom Hearts (the first one) has finally claimed my soul.
Sidenote-fangirlish pimping- If you like cute shoujo manga you really ought to check out Svetlana Chmakova's Dramacon. It's only 3 volumes and it absolutely captures the craziness that is an anime convention. Absolute love.
Also, Yen Press is putting out the Spiral manga, and given how much I *LOVED* the anime about Ayumu and the Blade Children as soon as I can get my grubby little claws on it I am buying it. I have an unerring need to know what the Blade Children are because the anime never answered that question, nor what happened to Kiyotaka. (Note icon- Ayes is a pretty pretty.)
