I wonder who came up with the concept of fate? It's a pretty crazy concept if you stop and think about it. Do we really have no say in the course that our lives take? Is it really predestined - written in the stars? Can our life and all that we do really just be a map that we follow? If every move we make is somehow pre-ordered from some cosmic catalog can we still take a wrong turn and wander off our own personal milkyway? I can't help but wonder - Can you make a mistake and miss your fate?? Or if you take a wrong turn is it just one of the many detours that is included in your destiny and won't effect the outcome of your existence? I think so. I believe that we all have an ultimate goal...a soulmate to find and grow old with, a career to have, friends to make...all these factors add up to what make us who we are and to create our ultimate goal. I think that we have some choices in life, but I think of it more as...well, when you travel and you can either take the industrial highway or the scenic route, you still end up in the same place you just get there in your own way. And as far as the whole soulmate thing goes, I definitely think that everyone has a perfect match or other half. At some point in your life you'll cross paths with them but fate will only take you so far, you have to take the chance yourself. But the big question still remains...how do you know who the person is that you are meant to be with? Do you just know? Do you get a feeling in the pit of your stomach that just tells you there is some strange connection? Something that you just can't shake that tells you this person is the one for you? I wonder. Yes these are the things that I ponder when I get bored. Meh oh well, it keeps me entertained. More of my philosophical ponderings later, time to go to the mall.
