Hmm. Perhaps not so good for a lifetime's reading but, on the other hand, when I left school I promised myself I'd never read a book again because I thought I ought to. Some favourites on there, and some of them are quick reads (Anansi Boys, The Prince, The Hobbit.) The Dickens I have read were because I was forced to at school.
