"Say, the next 24 hours..."

Jan 04, 2010 00:16

Yes, I'm aware that it's midnight...that my alarm is going off in less than six hours...that I start work at seven AM for eleven hours with no possibility of napping until I'm home.  Well aware...a tad concerned, but not too.

Today was a great day.  I got to spend the day teaching ballet to friends with June.  It was nice to see Quincy again, too.  June and Quincy had a lot of fun together, though they got a little chilly.  But what do you expect when it is only 45 degrees in central Florida?  Poor June...her parents sent her to play in just her short-sleeved dress.  But June wasn't too upset because Cole came to visit her and she got to see Jonathan, too.  The day went by so fast and it was an utter delight.  June missed hugging all of those little kids...she felt so loved.

I came home from work and went with Cole to run a quick errand.  I am stalling going to Wal-Mart for groceries until my day off, so I made rice-a-roni for dinner so I could bring the leftovers to work.  Around 10 or so, I climbed into bed and starting talking to Cole and Peter on Skype.  I hadn't planned to be up past 10:30, which was exactly when Josh came home.

Josh's mother found a website that will let me reload all of the music from my iPod back onto my iTunes.  I was thrilled to get that information!  I also found out that in an effort not to destroy my computer, Josh bought me a year of spyware protection back in November.  :)  What a sweetheart.  I gave him his farewell presents today...two Disney coffee mugs (villains -- featuring Maleficient and Hook; and heroes -- featuring Hercules and Tarzan) and On the Record.  I still want to give him another gift, but I don't have the means to work on it just now, so it'll probably come later.

We sat on his bed and talked about the past few days.  He told me about the last day of the Tiana show and how it felt leading the processional.  I showed him the video I took and told him about the last Christmas parades.  He's driving me to work tomorrow so he can borrow my car while his sister takes his car to get checked.  It's going to be a very long day tomorrow...and I hope I see Liberty Tree or Grand Fla.  An ER would be splendid.  I've already decided that if I do take an ER, I'm going to bus over to DAK to see Josh do his last MJJ for this trip.  (Won't have a car anyway...lol)  Then Josh and Cole and I are all going to a workshop tomorrow night for day parade.  It's going to be a long evening and I know I'm going to be sore afterward, but I have an amazing night to look forward to.

I'm trying my hardest to forget about having to say "so long" on Tuesday.  Cole is picking me up Tuesday morning and we're carpooling to work at Studios.  I'm hoping after work that he'll come on over so we can finish watching "Dangerous Beauty" together.  I think I might get my hair cut on Wednesday.  I haven't decided yet.  I need to do something.  A few people who have the day off (or half the day) have offered to get me out of the house to keep my mind off of things...or to come sit in the house with me as a distraction.  The support I'm getting from everyone is so sweet and means a lot to me.  And Rob comes back on Wednesday.  Oh, I miss him so much!

The more I've thought about Josh leaving, the more I'm finding time to analyze it.  By him leaving, I have realized that I will grow to appreciate him and his ways that much more.  So the next time we see each other, our conversations and hugs and moments will be twice as amazing.  He told me that the computer he got is almost identical to mine and he's planning on getting Skype.  That would be incredible!  Cole got Skype last night and we've been talking to Peter on Skype a lot lately.

Oh, fun story!  There is a tentative plan in the works to bring Rob home with me over Memorial Day.  Plans would include my brother's high school graduation, a trip to Cedar Point -- hopefully with the cousins, and at least a drive by Playhouse Square and a quick tour of Cleveland.  I really hope this works out!  Rob knows over half of my family already and I can't wait to introduce him to the rest of my cousins.

Well, I really need to get to bed.  My bedroom is so freezing cold tonight.  I'm sleeping in sleep pants, knee socks, a t-shirt and a turtleneck under two blankets and a comforter.  No wonder I'm sick.  :)

Bon nuite!
