"Hey! Hey! It's Jojo's Circus!"

I keep forgetting that I have this.  And that a lot of people use this as a way of keeping tabs on me.  Sorry I'm so forgetful.  Just very busy.  :)

I am trying to pick up as many hours as I can before my program ends because I'm guaranteed at least 35 before anything else.  Well, needless to say, tomorrow is my 12th straight day of work.  I spent a few fun days with my June-bug, had dinner at the Swan for the first time, had dinner at the Land twice, got called in to hang out with Leo at Play and Dine (for 6 hours of OT), had another romp at the playground, and just had three days of breakfast with Goliath.

Tomorrow, Dale and I are back on the welcome train together!  I'm so excited.  The only bummer is that my shift starts at 5:30am.  It's a 7am park opening for spring break.  It's going to be like Xmas all over again.  Another person I was talking to said that two days ago when she and the munks were hanging out in town square, the sun wasn't even up when they went out.

My paycheck last week was phenomenal...but I guess that's expected from 54 hours of work (14 of which were overtime).  I'm keeping my Friday off and I gave away my Saturday so I could have a full weekend.

Sunday -- My first event!  Events are a prestigious thing.  You have to be trained for events.  (And, as of early March, I am now approved for meet and greet events and cast events.  Cast involves something more than just a meet and greet.)  Well, for my Easter DCE, I get to hang out with the White Rabbit (from "Alice in Wonderland") at the Coronado Springs Easter party!!!  I am so excited!  DCE's are really hard to come by and I'm so grateful that I got scheduled.  That means that someone in upper management likes what they've been hearing and think that I'll do a good job.  It's a tremendous honor for me.

Monday -- I gave away my dinner at Swan so I can go to color coding.  This time, my focus is not my movement, but my animation.  I'm planning on going to more jazz classes to improve my movement, but I'm waiting until I'm in my apartment and figure out if I can afford class.  So now my goal is to bump my animation up to a red.  That's going to take some work, but I'm up for the challenge.

I'm trying to think of two killer animations.  The past two times, I've pretended that I'm hanging out with Terk and then she sees a banana and chases the guest to get the banana.  Last time, I also did one with June, but I wasn't that impressed with it.  I'm thinking about doing my second one with Pooh Bear, seeing "hunny" in the tree and "think, think, think"ing how to get to it, climbing the tree, and being attacked by bees.  Or something to that effect.

Comments?  Advice?  Suggestions?

After that, I have two more days with my June-bug, a full 2 days off (hopefully a Typhoon Lagoon trip in there) and then back to Play and Dine.

Play and Dine has been exceptionally crowded lately for lunch.  It's been a lot of large families with rude kids and people who don't speak very good English.  Yesterday, poor Goliath had a rough time.  One table had four brazilian boys sitting at it.  As Goliath was walking by, one of the boys hit Goliath in his right side...hard.

During his last half hour, Goliath had his tail pulled twice by kids.  He got a little upset and decided not to go see their tables because they were being mean.  As he was seeing another table, another little boy pulled his tail...hard.  Poor Goliath got very frustrated and went into the kitchen for a few minutes to recollect himself.  His special friend, Laurene (captain), said that other families wanted to see him and she would walk with him.

Laurene took Goliath to the first table that needed to see him and Goliath explained to Laurene that they pulled his tail.  Laurene told the dad that the reason Goliath did not come to say hi was because his children pulled his tail.  The dad asked his kids this, and they (of course), said, "No."  Thankfully, Dad had seen the whole thing.  He made the kids apologize.  Only two of the three took the picture.  The third was hiding under the table.

After another seven tables, Goliath was taken back to the very last table where his tail was pulled.  The little boy had his head on the table and was in tears.  Mom explained to Goliath that he was the boy's favorite character and the boy was so upset that he made Goliath unhappy when he pulled his tail.  Jojo and Goliath spent about three minutes at the table trying to get the boy to pick his head up and smile, but the boy wouldn't budge.  The mom kept saying, "It's okay, Goliath," like it was Goliath's fault that her son was in tears!!!

Thankfully, today was much better.  It's just a really stressful time in the parks.  And the cold weather isn't helping.  I'm praying that Chip and Dale have a much easier morning in Town Square tomorrow.  I'm hoping by the end of the day, I'll be able to have a picture of Chip and Dale with Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny.  The Easter trolley costumes are all pastel and pretty.  I want to be in trolley so badly.

Speaking of wanting to be in things, I e-mailed the heads of Talent Casting two days ago, telling them that I'm going seasonal and my name is now on the list for FT/PT.  I told them I would love to be more help to the department as a trained cast member and mentioned Spectromagic.  Spectro is really kind of funny.  No one wants to do it because it's a night commitment and there's always a chance that they'll decide to add another Spectro.  My advantage is that I have no one to go home to at night, so my nights are wide open.  hehe

Well, I need to get going.  Tomorrow is going to come awfully early.

Love,
Nikki
