"Nothing"
Despair looms
Dark clouds heave
Dreams shattered
Depression takes hold
Tears marr less than perfection
Troubled thoughts make visible tracks
Truth becomes the cold
Tracing the wetness heating the skin
Loss and love linger
Lined up between the two
Losing the game
Longing to be on the inside and outside all at once
Becoming all that was once lost
Beloved to none
Beleagured still
Because of this the tears fall
Praying for strength
Purged of the loss
Pursued by the love
Pleased by nothing, all found wanting
Never happy
Never upset
Nearly always torn in two
Nothing happens, nothing begun, nothing at all.

~Yea the muse was looming tonight. Sad and sappy does not make for a happy night. Heck it's not even the greatest poem but I was playing with alliteration and am a little more than appreciative of all of it. I rarely edit the suckers unless they're drastically dissapointing but alas this one isn't too terrible. It's times like these that I wish I was still in my college creative writing club...at least there I had a sounding board.
sad,
