"What the-?" Tom gave his companion an incredulous look as he took his seat on the sofa once again. "You're having a laugh, right?"
Eddie frowned and glanced from his friend, to the screen where he was currently sobbing onto Gemma's shoulder. "What're you on about, mate?"
"That's a really fucked up ending," Tom muttered, more to himself than in answer to him. "Tess shouldn't have gone to jail. Alec was a right prick. Angel needed to grow some balls, too."
"Oi," Eddie punched his shoulder lightly. "Shut it, yeah? That was me."
"I know. Like I said: no balls."

“It’s not, get over yourself!” laughed the older man as he read over his lines again, trying to memorise them despite the incessant buzzing in his ears from the other.
“Look, I’m not going to argue with you - you know I’m right-”
“Ha!” he snorted in response, shaking his head.
“Okay,” Tom smiled indulgently. “You tell me why Nigel is mentioned throughout the entire movie then.”
Eddie smiled back, his voice placating and slow as if explaining to a very petulant child. “ Because, Tommy, Alex is on trial for his murder. Hell, you’re fucking dead for the entire film!”
