When RL and fandom collide

You know what's really strange? When you find out that a girl, whom you don't like, is in fandom, and you don't like her there, either. Oh, I have a semi-similar experience. A girl I don't like but who I have to play nice with because one of my best friends really likes her friended me on lj, and I noticed that she has someone in fandom friended. Every lj entry she makes is so horribly pretentious that I kind of wish she'd write fic just so I could laugh at. Because it would be horrible.

Wait, no, I think I remember this? Um, I could be getting people mixed up cause it was when I'd first gotten an lj, but is this the chick who dressed up as Ginny and wrote crap like "Fall is like a man in a coat. I want to hang on to the tails. Don't go!"? Cause, yeah, that was bad, and she should definitely write fic to amuse us.

Yours is definitely worse than mine, though, cause I can totally just ignore her lj/horrible, horrible fic, but if your girl's got you friended, ugh. That sucks, cause then you can't politely pretend she doesn't exist in your fandom.

yes, that's the one! I filter her out of all of my posts and reading, but I still have to see her irl all the time. it sort of sucks. a lot.

I feel your pain D:

Is she that pretentious in real life? I don't think I could keep a straight face if she was.

Luckily, she doesn't speak in purple prose in real life.
