Larry: [is at this...thing he had to go to for his firm. He doesn't like his firm, or his boss, or...well, his life really. But he's here. He's a few days unshaved as per usual, he's got a drink in his hand, and he's dressed like Sherlock Holmes. And he's mostly watching the night unfold from his spot in the back of the room. There's something about the woman dressed as Irene Adler that amuses him though, and he can't help but walk over sometime after her little speech and clear his throat beside her]
Sophie: [turns around to face him, before raising an eyebrow]Shouldn't you be off solving the mystery, Sherlock?
Larry: [bit of a smirk] No, I think I'm supposed to be catching you Ms. Adler.
Sophie: Now, now -- this is a different kind of caper. I'm a thief, not a murderer.
Larry: That's a good thing. Murderers are significantly less sexy than thieves.
Sophie: I'm glad you think so.
Larry: [watches her for a moment, glances at the dance floor, then back to her] Don't suppose it's an appropriate time to dance.
Sophie: Probably not, no.
Larry: [nods, but doesn't step away] Carry on then.
Sophie: I plan to.
Larry: [smirking a bit, still not moving]
Sophie: [smirks before starting to move on]Maybe later, Mr. Holmes.
Larry: [watches her go] I can only hope so, Ms. Adler.
Sophie: [and she wanders off to do team leverage-y things]
Larry: [eventually is wandering around, looking for a bathroom. He ends up wandering into the study where Sophie is handcuffed and he stops. And he stares. And blinks] But it's not my birthday.
Sophie: [a bit of a smirk]Nor is it mine.
Larry: [still stares, then shakes his head] Have I had too many drinks and passed out and started dreaming?
Sophie: No. This is very real, and I'm still very handcuffed to this chair.
Larry: This isn't some wonderful turn of events for me, is it? This is more of a bad thing?
Sophie: Yes. So if you happen to have a pin of some kind, I'd very much appreciate it.
Larry: Why would I... [patting his jacket, then stops and takes his hat off. There is one in his hat. He walks over and hands it to her] Piss someone off?
Sophie: In a manner of speaking. [takes the pin and starts to pick the lock open]
Larry: [watches this]
Sophie: [doesn't take very long, and she's on her feet]Right. We should be not here.
Larry: I'm starting to think I shouldn't get in your way. This...isn't some dinner theater show, is it?
Sophie: [starts guiding them towards one of the hidden passageways]No, not so much. The victim is really dead, and the only policeman in the building is the one who actually committed the crime.
Larry: I'm starting to think I don't want to be here.
Sophie: Don't worry. We're going to make this all right as rain, and everything will be fine..
Larry: I'm not really the detective type. Or the...hero type.
Sophie: This would be why we need to get you back to the ballroom.
Larry: Sounds good to me. I could use another drink.
Sophie: Too the ballroom, then. Just follow me.
Larry: Yes ma'am. [follows closely]
Sophie: [and she leads him back down to the ballroom through the secret passages, maybe occasionally talking to "herself" along the way]
Larry: [will...just raise a brow at that. Leave it to him to find the crazy chick. Either way, he will breathe easier when they're back in the ballroom] Is this where you disappear on me again?
Sophie: Unfortunately, sorry. But sit tight and you'll get quite the reveal.
Larry: [grins] Don't make promises like that.
Sophie: Why not?
Larry: Might get a guy hopeful. [flirting with a mystery going on around him? sure, why not?]
Sophie: [opens the passage to the ballroom, before gesturing for him to head out into it]Suppose you'll just have to see then, yeah?
Larry: [moves past her, pausing at her side] My hero. [then he continues into the ballroom]
Sophie: [smirks as she closes the passage behind her before going to find Parker]
Larry: [hangs in the ballroom while everything goes down]
Sophie: [and then Lieutenant Banano arrives and arrests the cop, and there's a whole big to-do]
Larry: [and he'll be at the bar at the end of it, a little overwhelmed and watching it all]
Sophie: [will wander over eventually as the people start to clear out]Didn't I promise you a show?
Larry: [looks over and claps a bit] It was wonderful.
Sophie: [takes a bit of a bow]I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Larry: This will definitely make work interesting tomorrow.
Sophie: I'm sure.
Larry: [shrugs] Maybe I'll quit now. Never did like it there.
Sophie: I find that death is always a good reason to switch things up a bit.
Larry: [small smirk as he turns to face her more] So. Going to make your final escape Ms. Adler, or do I get that dance?
Sophie: [thinks for a moment, before meeting Eliot's eyes over his shoulder. there was that terse jerk that says they had to go, and she smiles slightly, before brushing a hand against his shoulder]How about you put it on my tab, Mr. Holmes?
Larry: [grabs a bar napkin and a pen from his pocket and jots his number down, then pushes it into her hand] It's Larry actually. Larry Paul.
Sophie: [takes the napkin from him with a small smile, before nodding]Sophie. Nice to meet you, Mr. Paul.
Larry: You too, Sophie.
Sophie: [small smile, and she disappears into the crowd of people]
Larry: [sighs and turns back to the bar]
