Busy with home...

May 16, 2006 02:19

About a month ago now, I signed the last paperwork and officailly became a home owner. Now I owe the bank money for the next 30 years, unless I pay more each month than they need me to, which I hope. There's a plan that if I pay twice a month It'll get paid off in something like 24 years.

Since I signed the papers, about 3 days later the power and water was turned off, being it a friday when I went to BPW to get it turned back on I had to wait until monday to get power and water again. Kinda disturbing to walk into and use my bathroom and flush the toilet and it just sits there. Then about 3 days later my gas got shut off. I came home to the furnace running and running, and the house cold.

About 10 days ago Lorena, Lorena's mom, my dad and myself painted my bedroom, which was a shade of pink, into a nice shade of blue. Which come to realizing, was the same as my current bedroom. A week ago I got part of my furnature from Lorena's mom's friend. She's selling me a washer and drying set, bedroom set, and sofa and chair, all for only $600. The bedroom set is worth atleast $1000.

Today I got power and internet to my computer room. One advantage of being an electrician and owning my own computer business is that I can do tons of stuff for nothing but materials and do it however I want. Most people have one or two computers for the whole family and house. I have... 4, one webserver, (TEAM1654.com and MIKE-SITE.US) There are more sites on it but those are my two main sites. I also have two desktops, one of which handles my digital video recording/surveilance of my house, and a laptop.

I went down south to Atlanta Georgia for about 4 days with my robotics team. Took a bus which took about 16 hours including stops each way. Our team placed about 64th out of 86 in our division of 4 divisions. This year will be the last year ( and only the 2nd year ) of our robotics team because the school we were in is being closed. BUT, next year we will be working with a new group of students, at the same highschool but as a rookie team.

Its well after 2:30 and I need to get up at 8 so I gues its off to bed. Take care everyone.

-Mike
