New Ink
I've been thinking about new ink since I got back from NYC. For all the same kinds of reasons
closer_to_fine recently outlined in her journal. I got the snake on my right breast when I was 20. The whole growing, shedding skin but still being who you are underneath symbolism. Then the giant raven on my hip. Which was timed to commemorate my decision to leave NYC. Then finally this spring I got the windhorse, a design I'd chosen 10 years ago, in anticipation it marking my next spiritual awakening. Really all three tattoos coincided with some kind of awakening. Since late last summer/early fall I've been planning a marque for most of my back...and that is still in process.
And now, I've got an idea for a new one.... and it turns out it's trendy. =P not what I intended. I'd like an anchor much like here: http://www.mercyseattattoo.com/portfolio-am/portfolio.php?p=1 (4th pic from the right @ the bottom of the page.) With three stars and HOPE, FAITH, LOVE and maybe an old school rose too. Most bizare to me about this...is I'm seriously contemplating putting it on my shoulder and starting a sleeve. Srsly.
