Opening Night Ms. B.D.U. 2008!

Woot! The show went *really* well tonight and we had a good attentive (a little on the quiet side but they were certainly with us) audience. My monologue and number went very well. I was sooper pleased. Mimi Le Yu, a performer with the Alley Cat Review in St. Louis came up and introduced her self after the show. She said she liked Sally and I the best. *grin*  I also got rushed by a woman who very excitedly told me she was my biggest fan. It was very flattering and surreal all at the same time. She was very fangirlly... big bright eyes and she threw her arms around me for a hug all while nearly bouncing and professing her undying fan love for Sweet Louise. ...yeah... flattering and surreal all at the same time...

I have to say...the coolest bit though...was that I noticed right away when the show started that there was this ancient looking woman sitting in the front row house left. I had the initial thought that perhaps she'd wandered into the wrong show or that she didn't know what she was here to see. (stoopid me) When I saw she and her family after the show I realized she was blind in one eye and had lost a good deal of her hearing...but she was very quick to say that "Your show reminds me of the shows I saw 50 years ago I saw in NYC." with a big smile on her face.  She couldn't hear me well enough to understand, but I told her family about Tempest Storm and how she was still performing and that their mom might have seen her back then.

Very cool.

Hope you can catch the show. Buy your tickets early. We had about 75 in the house tonight I think.

Here's all the info about where, when and how.
