Announcements:
* Things are going to be slow during January as we reboot to Lightning War 3.0. There will shortly be a post to help you keep track of things as the names of characters, places and journals change over the next two months. Erasing all the serial numbers will be a lengthy process--but when we are done, Lightning War will finally be free of all non-deniable Harry Potter references.
* Until further notice we are not recruiting new players. It’s not fair to anyone new to expect them to start when we’re in the middle of this.
* Lightning War is hosted on Insane Journal. If you are reading this on Live Journal or through an RSS feed, links will work, but clicking on journal names probably won't--or will take you somewhere irrelevant.
* If you have friended this community but have not joined it, you are not a member. This means you will miss locked posts. You will be unable to vote in polls. Also, your comments on posts will be screened until a maintainer unscreens them, which makes discussions less lively.
* If you post on this comm--retro-caps, crack, polls, whatever--try to remember to cross-post to the LightningWatch comm on IJ. I've been forgetting too, but we should be more careful.

Callista Lovelace thinks things haven't improved as much as they need to at school, despite Goyle's best efforts. Her friends Mercuria, Dio and Jon try to cheer her up a bit. (Closed and complete.)
The Leffoys have returned to the Academy. Juliana Leffoy and Valeria Malaspina become students in Avalon College, but Moruith myr'Steren does not. Kat Loveday and Florian Leffoy are reunited. Callista Lovelace breaks down, and her brother Ambrose and cousins Martial and Mercuria take her somewhere else. Colette Saint-Germain is not pleased to see Liane. Ianthe Pritchard and Arianwen Rosier are not pleased with Colette Saint-Germain, or Aurélien Jeannot. Moruith impresses Ianthe. Liane makes her peace with Reynard Saint-Germain; Reynard's girlfriend, Felicity Greengrass, is not happy about it. (Closed and complete.)

Isaac Bradbury has to deliver a message he doesn't like to a couple of women who dislike it even more, but things keep getting worse and this is the only solution anyone's found.

Endymion Dashwood has to tell Minerva MacAlister something he really thinks she should already know.
Naszvadi Lili would actually like to tell Király Ilóna what's going on in her life, but she doesn't think she'd be believed. There's a fight in the making, and she doesn't want to have to choose either side of it much.
Lizzie Loveday tells her daughter Kat that she is going to have to marry Florian Leffoy if she doesn't want to lose the rest of her family.
Tom Forrester feels vindicated.
But then poor Tom Forrester runs into Bartholomew Cross, who has bad news for him.
Juliana Leffoy has decided that maybe she and Michel haven't fallen in love, since things don't feel much different from the way they did when she was fifteen. But she also has a lot of emotions she can't yet name or let out, so maybe she's wrong. How can she be sure?
Ianthe Pritchard isn't happy with Aurélien Jeannot, but then, Aurélien is rather unhappy with himself, as well.
Minerva MacAlister is bothered by what happened to her and to Hector Smith during the last drill and is making plans for the next.
Edmund Bradbury and Marlie Watkins end up discussing religion, history and legend, mostly in the context of the Leffoy-Pendry problems.
Emily Chattox tells Tom Forrester that she is disappointed in him.
Valeria Malaspina beats some sense into Paul Pettigrew.
Alastor Mablin is spoiling for a fight.
Bill Pendry is feeling rather depressed.
Mary Agnes Brocklehurst is unhappy that her classes keep getting cancelled and the Academy is doing so poorly at drills.
Jezebel Bainbridge Walsingham is pleased to be reunited with her daughter, Jessica, and her niece, Prudence Bainbridge..
