I'm so sorry sweetie - You know that I can relate but I hate that you are going through this.
I'm pretty much going to echo what others said - exercise (why else was I spending 2-3 at the gym every day?) and regaining a sense of control in some fashion or another. Projects are a good way to go, but if work is stressing you out and triggering this, you will eventually have to tackle that. When things go crazy at work for me, I just remind myself that the world will not end if not everything gets finished that day. Do what you can and let the rest go. Don't rely on meds to make everything better - they aren't a cure-all and to be most effective must go along with therapy to help you develop coping strageties and such. Sorry if that was harsh, but it is the truth.
Last peice of advice - a diet high in vitamin B and magnesium is recommended for people struggling with depression and anxiety. However, taking supplements for the two does the same trick.
And if you ever need a place to hang for a night to get away from it all - or an ear to bitch into - you know you are always welcome here. Even if I am not here, you are family and so can come and hang out. As I have said, I have a large screen DVD projector thingie in the media room - you can Frog can come over here whenever you want (as long as it's not the night I'm having a party here), watch a movie and have a little "date" night and I'll stay out of the room. Except to bring you food or drink or flowers. ;-) Sometimes just getting out of the familiar surroundings can help a little.
I hope you have a wonderful birthday. It IS possible to be happy even battling depression and anxiety. I promise. Love you.
