ah, edward. actually, i snagged this icon before i even read twilight. i just liked it. and very often, people think i have more self-control than i do. i have one hell of an anger problem. it fit.

why i love john winchester. best. line. EVER. there's an ep of SPN where he's telling sam he started him a college fund, put money in every week, etc. and by the end of the conversation, sam asks where the money went, since he didn't have it for college. john's answer? "i spent it on ammo."
also, since i have been incapable of saving money, this is a good tongue-in-cheek way to get my lack of skills across without coming off as a total bum.

still there? ok. first ep of season 2. john asks sam to get him a 'cup of caffeine'. sam goes. john leans down to dean and whispers something we don't here. not even ten minutes later, john is dead.
sam finds him. lying on the floor. in slow-motion, the coffee cup falls out of his hands and lands like that, overflowing but not falling over. they focus the camera on the cup, not on sam losing it in the room behind the cup. not on him leaning over his father.
the keywords have a reason, too. 'the last word in the last sentence.' the rest of the lyric is 'that you ever uttered to me was love.' that song sums that whole moment up for me. there was no goodbye. sam left for coffee, he didn't get a moment to be all hallmark with his dad.
lately, i haven't gotten any goodbyes, either. they've just been happening. i said it before, but again, my favorite icon. if you know what you're looking at, it's HUGE. and it sums up quite a bit for me.
