Life's like a mountain rising from the sky, he said you really got to climb, my friend.

It's time for another good thing/bad thing. All things in balance, right?

Good things:
~ I woke up with someone who is becoming my new favorite person. Best part of waking up!
~ My day is almost over. Yay!
~ Today I'm wearing Aeval - A raven-haired Fairy Queen of Ireland. One of her eternal duties dictates that she must hold a midnight court every season and hear the pleas of married Irishwomen. The court serves only to determine whether or not husbands are adequately serving their wife's sexual needs. A judicious yet powerfully sensual blend, a mingling of justice and sexuality: sage, sweet pea, bold pale musk and warm tonka.
And I likes it a lot - the tonka and musk mellow out nicely on me, and the plant scents are always a favorite, but much more subtle. And no, I didn't pick it because of the Irish connotations - I realized that I have 58 (yes, that is fifty-eight) imps, and I just ordered some more. Soooo, I really need to weed out the ones I don't like.
~ My cute new luggage has arrived!!! A+++ to Overstock.com to getting that to me within a week. Shipping was going to be 5-10 days out, and I was a little worried that it wouldn't arrive before I left for Ohio at the end of the month. But it did, and I'm so jazzed. Can't wait to go home!
~ BPAL order has apparently shipped, too! Last time, when Gretchen ordered, it took about 6 weeks to get here. This time should be much, much sooner.
~ Shakespeare and Pi/Pie yesterday was good. The black/raspberry pie was very nice with a delightful crust. I reaaaaally want to try their coconut cream pie, though. But since apparently all of West Seattle had the same plans for Pi Day, they were damn near sold out. Still, tasty! And the modern-day, California-set version of Two Gentlemen of Verona was well done, even for a dress rehearsal (only one issue was noticable, and mostly because the actresses had to reset a few lines back). Launce was hysterical, being portrayed in a stoner-stereotype, but the lines totally fit that kind of character. Crab, however, was painful to watch - it was a bulldog that vurumai suspects has a spinal lesion, so his walks across the stage were hard to watch.

Bad things:
~ It's still a freakin' Monday, yo. And not yet 4:30. Boo.
~ Our computer systems crashed at work, taking out email, schedules and database. I am one of a few special people that still doesn't have email, since 9:30 this morning.
Unfortunately, email is how I communicate jobs with the technicians, so this is bigger deal than just not getting email.
~ The HVAC on-call tech for today is on the injured list (GOOD TO KNOW!), so I have been scrambling all day to find someone to cover. Seeing as how everyone hates on-call coverage, you can imagine how many said no. But, I finally got one yes, and that was all I needed.

What are people's plans for St. Patty's Day??? The only thing I know for sure is that I need to pick up some Guinness at the store tonight and will wear my usual shamrock earrings from Ireland.

good things, bpal, holiday, work rant, bad things
