Sun lights up the daytime, moon lights up the night, I light up when you call my name.

I haz a happy :D
vurumai might just have a whole helluva lot to do with that happiness.

In other news, I have yet to attend any of The Moisture Festival performances, in all these years. I'd love to go to one of them this year - if I'm not mistaken, there's both comedy/variety nights that always feature aerialists, or there's burlesque nights. As much as I do love aerial, I haven't seen any burlesque at all except the Naughty or Nice show for Christmas that one year, and it wasn't particularly good.
And if not the Moisture Festival, perhaps The Atomic Bombshells. Gretchen saw them perform, and said they were fantastic!
Also, the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival is coming up, and the porn festival. Again, Gretchen and Eric have attended, I have not. I feel that my life is not complete if I do not explore these areas of Seattle culture :P

Let's play a little game of Friday Fotoblog!
Here's the scarf that I made for electriclime, and which is currently touring around Ireland. I wanted her to have something soft and pretty with all that she's going through these days, and so this, my third scarf, was for her.

More of Mardi's scarf.

This is a scarf that I made as a gift for an SAI lady. I have started a new tradition, I hope, with a traveling gift container that I decoupaged and started off with this scarf.

Detailing on this scarf.

I had to back out of taking Gretchen to the Sewing & Stitchery Expo, as it was the same weekend as my grandmother's service. But she bought me a pretty skein of wool yarn!!! I have no idea what I'm going to make with it yet, but it needs to be something really beautiful.

Speaking of Grandma's service, I have some nice pictures of that, too.
The box with butterflies is Grandma. She will be buried with my grandfather back in Ohio on Good Friday - she is not living on our mantlepiece!

The picture on the left is Grandma's wedding picture - we never knew this picture existed until the night before the service. We had only ever seen the one with her and Grandpa in it, which is very similar.

The flowers I ordered for the service - purple and white, to represent my connection to Job's Daughters with Grandma and Grandpa. Out of all of their grandchildren, I was the only one who got involved in any Masonic organization, although both my mom and my aunt were involved.

The photoboards that my sister and I put together. She picked out the pictures, and I did the border and the arranging. Scrapbook skillz FTW! The first one is of a sort of "first generation" family - grandma and grandpa, her sisters, mother, extended family, etc.

Then there's the 2nd and 3rd generation. There's a picture of me on the right side, from my senior photoshoot - I'm kinda leaning against a tree.

And to end on a happy note, some renewal of life, as always happens in the spring, new growth!
Here's the plants currently growing in my windowsill. I moved the rosemary outdoors, since it's pretty hardy, and when it warms up better I may move a few of these out there as well. Please note that my lavender plant is REALLY taking off!

The tree as you walk up to my front door - that's my neighbor's backyard in the background.
