Friday, I'm in love
Tonight, I am going to be a total nerd and go home and vacuum (when I can pick up hairballs with my toes, IT IS OVERDUE), and do laundry.
* Possibly order pizza - has anyone tried the new Domino's Pizza that I keep seeing advertised, about how they've revamped their recipes? Worth it, or just get DiGornio from the grocery store?
* Watch movies (Netflix - The Namesake, DVR - Superman Returns, Casino Royale or something else which title escapes my swiss-cheese brain at the moment...).
I figure it's okay to watch movies and order pizza while the laundry runs. Productive laziness, much?
Saturday, when these doors were open-ended!
* I am meeting up with my lovely Gretchen for a last meal at
Mr. Spot's Chai House before they leave Ballard. Still waiting to hear if there will be a new location! They make the best grilled cheese sandwiches, and I'm crossing my fingers for a West Seattle relocation. Since it's the last day and they are celebrating with live music and all, I'm expecting it to be quite busy.
* Heading to the U-District to
Goorin Bro.'s Hat Shop. We both want to bring hats (and fascinators, and pretty pins) back, and I'm considering either a
fedora or a
cloche style hat. The one perk of having an obnoxiously large forehand is the ability to wear hats well, and not look like my face is being swallowed up.
* Next, we are going to Southcenter for some major shopping. Gretchen is in desperate need of new clothes, especially since I purged her closet a couple of months ago at her request, and she needs NEW new clothes (I appreciate a good thrift-store bargain as much as anyone, but new-new clothes are required). I am playing the role of Personal Shopper, and am going to inundate her with rich jewel tones - grape/eggplanty purples, royal blues/aquamarines, items along those lines. I also have a birthday coupon from Macy's to use by the end of the month.
* Also going to the big Jo-Ann's store down there. Gretchen has a whole page of shopping to-do's here, and I want to get another skein of yarn. Or two. Maybe three. Definitely no more than four or five. OH GOD, I'M A MONSTER.
* THEN (the day isn't over yet, oh no!) we are going to pick up Shawn, and by default Gretchen will get to meet The Cat With A Face Only A Blind Person Could Love. With Shawn in tow, we are headed up to a pub in Magnolia to watch UFC with Eric. The three of them are more into UFC than I am, but I like just hanging out with my best friends whatEVER we are doing, so I'm game.
Sunday, cause that's my fun day!
* I think I am going to get a haircut, since I haven't had one since August (YIPES). I think I will just walk into Rudy's, and ask who is feeling the creative juices that day, and let them play around for a while (within reason, of course! I'm still going to have SOME say in what happens with my hairs)!
Any suggestions on what people think might look good on me?? Conversely, what would be absolutely WRETCHED?
THIS CUT is the style I went for last time.
* Begin next knitting project. YIPEEEE!
'Sup with your weekend, inter-pals?
I am so bored at work, I am going through my memories and tags, and winnowing them down. WE ARE SLOW, people. Please, you should all go up to the rooftop of your place of business (or, your nearest neighbor, or your competitor, or all three!) and break something. Then call me so that I can feed my mechanics!
JUST KIDDING, we at McK do not advocated vandalism! HVAC is SRS BZNISS.
But I'm just sayin', if you are too cold... who ya gonna call?!?
In the meantime, entertain me. Your Queen demands it!
