Why, hello there, LJ-Land! Did you miss me??

After skip=350, I have finally caught up to last Tuesday on my friends-list! Yeesh, you all write a lot!

A brief rundown of my holiday weekend, for posterity:

Wenatchee was cold and incredibly dry, and I had to give myself a manicure straight off when I got home, my hands looked so horrible. Much better now.

Food was most excellent, from the spaghetti upon my arrival Tuesday night, to the Thanksgiving Feast with special guest Tom Turkey in all his glory. Tastyness was followed family card games, including a really fun, really easy one that I think would be great for Girl's Grey's Night as a pre-show funtime. Didn't have sausage gravy this time, but I did have dad's blueberry pancakes, and we splurged on burgers and fries one day while working at the new condo.

I spent part of my vacation cleaning the condo my parents just bought, and which my grandmother will be renting from them. While they started painting the ceilings and pulling up the HIDEOUS mint-ice-cream carpet (ugh ugh ugh), I helped to clean out all the cabinets and line them with shelf liner. I swear, I don't hardly clean my private parts that well! That is one clean effing kitchen, I'm telling you.

Got a lovely massage from the ever-lovely austindesigns, and chatted with him and so-lovely girlfriend Sarah (who also gave me a Christmas pressie of loads of Hershey's Kisses, in the new flavors! First gift of the season!). Ryan chewed me out good for the state of my feet, that are abused constantly by the heels I insist on wearing. Ahhh, but it felt goooooood.

The puppies, who will be featured in an upcoming post, managed to give me a split lip (sorry, no pictures, haha) and eat my black ankle boots. The latter caused a Mad Dash to Penney's sequence to be initiated, as I had less than an hour to get to the bus stop. WHUPS! Those pups are SO LUCKY they are SO CUTE!

And then I came home, and was greeted by a cute guy who brought me home and snuggled. Oh yes, life was pretty good. A few minor things, like worrying about my finances, how much I owe my parents, and how I'm going to pay for Christmas schtuff, is weighing on my mind, but in the grand scheme of things I certainly had a lot to be thankful for, including a job that will hopefully begin to help me pay off some of these worrisome things, as well as a roof and my car. My family who supports me and my friends who put up with and entertain me to no end. The puppies who can always bring a smile to my face and definitely not least, a special man who brings even more smiles. I'm healthy, if not wealthy, and this year things are ... good. Really, who could ask for more?! Yay for bountiful harvests!

Tonight I am going to unpack, do some dishes, and start decorating for Christmas!!! Need to get things up from my storage closet in the basement, like my holly & ivy tree (my real-fake tree is back in Wenatchee, no room for it here... I'd buy a small live one for the table-top, but I've got plenty of stuff for now and I'd rather spend my money on pressies for my lovelies). I need to dust this weekend, blech. Tomorrow I take my holiday music into work... mmm, time for Mediaeval Baebes' Mistletoe & Wine CD! Need to update LJ too, for the holiday season... I think I'll go for a Capricorn/Winter theme this year, since I did Holly & Ivy last year.

Also, I'm considering options for celebrating my 25th birthday (which I WILL DO this year, come hell or high water or an inch of snow in this city!). What are your thoughts on the following ideas?
* Going to Muckleshoot Casino in Auburn - the food is fantastic and cheap ($15 for steak & lobster dinner!), lots of stuff to do, and you don't have to spend a lot in gambling (just play slots, they can actually pay out pretty well!). I think there's also a dance floor with live music.
* An Afternoon at the Spa - Banya 5 is amazing and relatively cheap, I think it's $30 now, but you can spend all afternoon going through hydrotherapy, a Turkish steam room, having tea or taking a nap or doing yoga upstairs, and they've just added a new Vodka Bar too, with drinks and snacks.
* Chopstix Dueling Piano Bar - where I *meant* to go last year, but cancelled on account of the snow. Great drinks, cute waitstaff, live piano music is a good time to me!
* Any other suggestions? hosting something here at my place, going to a bowling alley (ooooh... that could be totally fun...), bar-hopping through West Seattle (or in light of Canadian Invasion, downtown/Cap Hill?)

I just love the holidays. The obnoxious repetition of music, the lights, the shopping, the cheesy happy-ending movies gushing onto my TV. I freaking love it all. Happy Holidays, everyone!! Let the festivities begin!
