This weekend is shaping up to be quite lovely, and make up for the week preceeding it. YAY!
Last night involved Chinese take-out, Tarot readings, and falling asleep on the couch with my man. Well, actually, HE fell asleep (his stomach was not a happy stomach), and so I got to read and have tea while he napped. Heh.
Today was a morning spent sleeping in and listening to the rain falling. Now I've done laundry and my nails, and I'm watching a program on the Travel Channel about England's top 10 Castles and Palaces. Gods, I miss it there!
)
10. Windsor Castle (which I saw with
paulttt9. Hampton Court Palace (saw it, with the rest of my study-abroad group, including
eriksdb)
8. Edinburgh Castle
7. St. Michael's Mount (in Cornwall)
6. Stirling Castle (in Scotland, related to the William Wallace history)
5. Caernarfon Castle (in Wales)
4. Leeds Castle
3. Tintagel (also in Wales, and associated with the Arthurian legends)
2. Warwick Castle (also saw with the group, I loved that one)
1. Tower of London (which I absolutely agree with - I loved the Tower, and saw it 3 times while I was there. I found it so fascinating, and full of such history. Legends walked those very paths, and yes I know, so do about 2 million people a year, but still. My favorite place in all of London).
Although, I have to say, I'm surprised they didn't have Buckingham or Blenheim Palace on their lists. Historically significant and jaw-droppingly beautiful, they are also some of my favorites.
Tonight is partying out on the town with Shawn and about half my friends-list, haha. Tomorrow we will be stopping by Farmer's Market, then going to the Food & Wine Show. Mmmmmm.
So, I'm pretty much as content as could possibly be. I think I'll make some popcorn and hot cider and watch my Netflix movie, Great Expectations. Chinese leftovers for dinner, then time to get ready and shake my money-maker.
I ♥ weekends. And I only have 2 days of work this week, followed by 5 days in Wenatchee. What are your Thanksgiving plans, friends-list?
