I am in a bubble.

A bubble created not by my emo pain, nor necessarily by my complete inability to make friends with people, but by my sleep cycle. Somehow, it is very easy to get cut off from college if you go to bed at ten and wake up at six. Who'd 'a' thunk it?

French would be your average English writing class, but for the way it's in French; we're focusing on description right now, and we read this absolutely gorgeous passage from Désert yesterday. I mean, I doubt I'd read a book like that; I don't think I could hold my breath long enough to get down to where that kind of author likes to swim. But the phrases, even the individual words themselves, were just beautiful. I would love to translate something like that.

Calculus is incredibly dull - not because of the teacher, just because, y'know, I kind of took it already. Computer Programming and Linguistics are interesting things to take at the same time; on Thursday, we were talking about the same things in both classes, syntax and structure and so forth.

My mother sent me a package; she bought me another piece of fabric, because the one she got from Folk wasn't big enough to make it all the way around my bed. I can't wait to see my parents this weekend - they're coming up for Labor Day because there's a parade, and they sold me out to Scudder Parker's campaign for my stilts. ^^
