It's high school all over again

I found it interesting... it's easy to tell who in the classes are paying for tuition themselves, or have a guardian/scholarship paying their way for them. It's the people who actually suggest to get out of class 30 minutes early as if that will make any sort of difference.

Seriously.

The english teacher, sure, is a little deadpan and does enjoy dry humor, but half of the class is falling asleep at their chairs. Sure, they're chipper and happy when they're answering his questions or talking to him, but whenever he leaves to go make copies, the daggers come out of their pockets and they sharpen them, ready to stab into the teacher's back when he returns and turns to write up on the dry erase board.

Sometimes I find the human mind so... childish.

I made my voice heard in class when he left. Ironically enough their discussion came to me and they thought they could take some sort of pride and closure in their decision by getting a conscientious from everyone, therefore making their choice to leave an easier one. I told them what I thought, and it seemed that they all just abandoned their choice.

Maybe because they didn't get the full consent, or maybe because they see me as some sort of snitch that might tattle on the teacher when they leave.

They really, really enjoy my writing, so I doubt it's the latter.

Meh. Childish behavior is childish.
