As of late, Jason and I have been trying to sneak away from some "us" time. We love our kids but it's nice to go out for a peaceful dinner, walk hand in hand through shops, and be able to hear each other when we talk. :-)
This day, we really should have stayed home because it was really icy and beyond cold...but we didn't!
Pretty snow
Scary roads - took a really long time to get to town because of all the ice.
I got bored in the car. :-)
We went to our favorite cafe and picked up a few items at the store. Great fun! (Hey, don't judge...there's not much to do here. lol)I like this restaurant because it plays good music, as in...not country, like every other place around here. I don't care how good your food is, if I have to listen to bad tunes I won't eat there.
The snow was pretty and I wanted to be crazy and see how long I could stand the cold while Jason took photos of me slowly freezing to death. heh
We found some cool tree things that I had to hike through crazy high snow drifts to get to, it was shocking because the top of the snow was so hard so I'd get 2 steps in on top thinking I was going to make it when *BAM!* I'd sink to the bottom, snow up to my armpits, and have no feeling in my legs. lol

"I'm cold."
We also stopped next to this sweet car that's been sitting on the side of the road since we moved here. A bit rusted, but I bet she has great mileage!
By this time I was a living snowman so we headed home.
My hair was just frozen solid almost so when I walked in the heated house....it turned to curls. lol
Now it's time to curl up with Alex, a cup of hot tea, and some books and try to warm up! Brrr!
