there's a history of iidx J-controller modding that involves shaving the edges of the keys so that they stick less.

i've always found that to be a strange answer, and now that i'm starting to play iidx again and realanalysing the sticking issue, it still seems counterintuitive. The problem with sticking isn't because the keys are too large. ( Read more... )

the ending of Laser Cruster H14 can kiss my ass. I can stay above 80% for almost the entire rest of the chart except for two measures towards the end at tempo. I can do those two measures at play -3 most of the time too. so i'm close. Sort of. :p

i suck at this game now. a part of me wants to get good at it again, but i really don't have the time to do that. it's a little depressing, but that's how it goes. maybe i'll take a casual interest in it again. we'll see.

so i bought a camera, new for me, but not a new camera. i was doing a search for either the powershot A630 or A640 and an A640 randomly popped up on eBay with a Buy-It-Now price of $199 where most of the time those cameras sell at $450 new or even auction end. Score.
