sometime last week, mark and i took our semi-regular trip out to the west bank to get vietnamese food. it's going to be a busy weekend. in a good way.

tonight i'm judging an indoor drumline show. there aren't going to be that many groups, but the percussion segment doesn't start until 9pm. i'm staying in a hotel overnight there, hopefully doing a little late night drinking, but we'll see what happens.

for most of my life, fall has always been my favorite season. I like the smell of the air in the fall, i like the temperature, i like marching band season and in general the fresh start to an academic year, which for me has always been a more defined "new year" then the actual calendar year. and a part of me always preferred it over spring ( Read more... )
