i've used FCP for years.  The version that we have at the office is FCP Express.

I've never really taken iDVD very seriously, but for a personal project i'm delving into it a lot more right now. When i first started using the program, i didn't like it that much because i felt like there weren't enough ways to make a DVD feel "unstock". As in, every DVD made from iDVD would look like a DVD made from iDVD.

suppose i have an animated gif that's ten frames. does the file size change if i have those ten frames animate at a rate of one second vs, say, one minute? in my head it makes the most sense that the file size shouldn't change because the only thing that's different is a 'timing' marker, but i don't know the mechanics of animated gifs.

i got a bunch accomplished today. felt good.

-four loads of laundry. those are almost done. then i need to reorganize my clothes area a little since it's somewhat haphazard.

conceptually what i'm trying to do is create a background that shifts from black to white in a smooth gradient that has foreground material that shifts from white to black in a smooth gradient.
