end of a vacation
well, my vacation is over. i wanted to use it to 'get my life together' but i don't think that worked out too well. undoubtedly, i now have a bedroom. that's something. as well, daft punk was the best concert experience of my life. and i've been to some doozies. a 3 million dollar investment in your light show goes a long way. nothing but superlatives for that one. only adjective that applies is 'resplendent.' it seemed as if the future had finally arrived. or at least the realization that it was here all along.
camping with jon was a much needed 2 night, 3 day male experience. stifling heat in the woods, cool relief in the lakes. channeling the spirit of werner herzog: 'as zey pressed deeper into ze woods, zey soon realized zat ze bear was not outside of zem - it vas vithin.'
but, in the end, i'm left here by myself with no possibility for a date, halfway depressed and pining for times, events, people that are gone. clearly i've got significant issues. i can't seem to find a quiet frame of mind.
