[For Caspian]

Nov 16, 2009 00:49

It's been days now and Sansa can forget about the books if she tries very hard - or lets herself by distracted by housework and Eddara's antics. Susan taught her some sort of game that involves hopping and it's all she wants to play ever since. But now Eddara is safely asleep and tucked up in bed and Caspian is making one last check on something outside. Sansa has nothing and no-one to distract her and she can't think of anything but what Caspian (or anyone else for that matter,) may have read about her. Surely everything can't be in their - the books would be much longer.

Sansa decides to go to bed - instead of worrying over it. She changes into a nightgown and sits on the bed to brush out her hair. She glances down at the long red curls and then at Lysa's wardrobe. She remembers her aunt declaring that her hair had to be dyed to hide the resemblance to her mother. Caspian will have read that. And when her aunt called her dwarf's leavings. And oh gods - surely the book would not have contained the wedding night with Tyrion? Why would anyone write about that. But then some of the love stories Sansa has read have not shied away from sharing any details. He'd read about Littlefinger kissing her after all. She puts down the brush and curls into the pillow thinking of a dozen things that she didn't read in the books but she is very certain they must have been there and Caspian has read them.

Now she isn't tired at all.
