Boredom

Jun 11, 2007 09:40

I'm at work, sitting here with the gorgeous Mac G5, being incredibly bored. My current project is to transfer a crapload of files to DVD for backup. It's busy work, but at least here i get paid for being bored. My supervisor will be back from his trip to Japan and China on Wednesday and I should find out then what project I'll be working on for the summer.

I'm so glad to be back at work. I was looking forward to coming back from school, having a relaxing few days, just bumming around as you should during summer, but by Thursday I was already bored. I guess it's hard to move from the hectic MIT life to doing nothing (although I don't quite have Karen's feeling of feeling guilty for not doing homework...)

I went to Centennial's graduation this weekend. It's hard to believe that only a year ago, that was me. So much has happened this year. It's also interesting to come back and see how people have changed. But it's also comforting when I can just pick up a conversation with someone as if we'd just talked yesterday. That's a mark of friendship, right there.
