I have vague memories of writing an entry earlier this year, back in January, I think, when it was really warm (for January, at least, the kind of "warm" where it rains when you're trying to go skiing.) Anyhow, I quoted that Reliant K song:
"Sunny with a high of 75..."
I could go for 75 degrees right now...'twould be much preferable to this hot humidity which will only get worse as summer progresses.
Today I did some gardening avec ma mere. I also planted some seeds in a pot. These seeds, according to the package, are "guarenteed to grow" and should produce pretty, daisy-like flowers. (They're called Blanketflowers, for any gardening people out there.) However, I realized after planting them that the package says they'll sprout in 7-10 days and then bloom in 90-180 days. Well now, I may not be here when they bloom, which is most disappointing. Also kind of weird to think about. There are 88 days until I leave for college.
I am currently trying to decide which dorm I would like to live in next year. For those of you who don't know, it's done by a lottery process. I rank my choices and then get assigned one. (And then, to make it more fun, I might switch when I get there!) Fun stuff. For those of who who do know what I'm talking about because you're also going to MIT next year, where are you planning to live? Just curious. At the moment, I'm thinking either Next, Simmons, Baker, or possibly Macgregor (in that order). We'll see.
Kayaking tomorrow, then 3 more days of school!
