Several weeks ago, myself and Leah decided that one night we were going to camp out atthe spiritual centre. The spiritual centre is an unfinished building that is designed to be used by people from all faiths for praying and meditating and the like. It has an amazing view over Pedder Bay and is one of my favourite places on campus. At this very moment, its with a roof but without walls. So, at about 1am, we gathered a bunch of people, a very very large pile of blankets, quilts and sleeping bags, my guitar, Chris' crackers and cheese and Hunter's grandmother's biscuits. It was so incredibly, absolutely, amazingly cold. I had on a tshirt, thick woollen jumper and a thermal fleece jacket, holeproof explorer socks and ugg boots and I found that it was cold if there was only on layer of blanket on top of that. In the middle of the night, Swelen had a massive panic attack as she thought something was crawling up her leg. It turned out to be Chauntez's foot but I dont think I've ever seen somebody so scared in my entire life.
During a trip to the toilet, passed a garbage bin with the fattest, ugliest cat I have ever seen. Mentioned it to Hunter who replied: "ummm... thats a raccoon...". And they say our animals are weird. Canadian animals are far weirder.
Leaving tomorrow for (another) holiday of glory. This time to East Sooke with Nakkiah, Jen, Tara, Pricilla, Swelen, Hunter, Ruakiri, Josh and Matthew. We (or at least me) are going to bum around in a house/on the beach for a week. Dont know if I can get into contact until then.
