Title: The truth will out
Author: fawsley
Characters: DCI and DI
Rating: white cortina with a hint of green mebbe
Warnings: none, but you need to have seen 2.02
Word Count: 233

Notes: The bunnies are all over the place at the moment. The last four fics have careered from total angst through ultra!crack then oddly darkish to this rather pathetic specimen. But as they all seemed to disappear in horror after recent events I felt it best to nurture this bunny a little.
And of course there was that one that hopped onto my pillow this morning, whispering filth about Sam wearing a butt-plug and mincing his way across CID...
The truth will out
‘You didn’t trust me, Tyler.’
‘I said I was sorry.’
‘Didn’t trust yer superior officer, yer DCI, yer Guv.’
‘I was using my instincts!’
‘An’ I’ve warned you about that sort o’ behaviour before now. Didn’t learn yer lesson, did yer?’
‘So what you going to do? Lock me in the boot again?’
‘Still considerin’ a suitable punishment.’
‘Violence is always the answer with you, isn’t it?’
‘Maybe you should try readin’ between the punches.’
‘Oh don’t go getting all deep and meaningful with me! Not now!’
‘You suggestin’ I’m not usually deep an’ meaningful?’
‘Don’t make me laugh!’
‘Not makin’ yer do anythin’ yer don’t want ter.’
‘Perhaps not, but still... Wasn’t exactly what I were expecting.’
‘Bloody ‘ell Tyler! S’not like I never told yer to yer face.’
‘Thought you was joking.’
‘An’ now?’
‘Now I know you weren’t. You were telling the truth.’
‘And?’
‘And what?’
‘Say it.’
‘Say what?’
‘Admit it, Tyler. Go on!’
‘Bastard.’
‘Yeah, true. But not what I want to hear. Say it, or it’s a week in the boot for you!’
‘Still a bastard.’
‘Tyler, I’m warning you…’
‘Okay, okay. I admit it. I should have listened, should have trusted you, taken you at your word, never doubted you. That enough?’
‘And?’
‘Oh for crying out loud! How old are you, Gene?’
‘Grrrr…..’
‘All right, keep your hair on. I’m only saying it once, mind you… Absolutely bloody legendary!’
