Surely that can't be Chris in The Blitz Club wearing too much eyeliner? Or Ray's undercover moustache quivering with indignation in a gay club?

That's a prefabricated slash plot right there. Now the question what is Chris doing in a club with too much eyeliner that's making Ray's moustache quiver with indignation?

(Yes, I'm aware that the Blitz Club and unspecified gay club aren't necessarily the same place, but Chris in eyeliner!)

Chris is apparently taken with the 'New Romantic' look, much to Gene's disgust. I think Marshall was wearing nail varnish in one of the on-set photos, there was some debate on the comm about whether it was a trick of the light.

This gay club episode is going to bring a tornado of slash!

Does this make me a freak? ;-)

(I seem to have a weakness for heroes who are thought boring by their creators. I like Frodo, too - book!Frodo, that is, not movie!Frodo - and Tolkien wrote in his letters that Frodo is a bit boring. *g*)

*pets Sam and Frodo*

Chris in eyeliner... The slashstorm is brewing, it is brewing hard and heavy....

And I didn't find Sam *that* boring - he was the straight man of the pair (well, not actually, *ahem*) but was still interesting, wasn't he?

Quote: 'I always said to him [John Simm] that he'd got the Tom Cruise role in Rain Man: his job was to make what Phil does make sense....'

I don't think I like that quote. Wasn't Life on Mars supposed to be all about Sam?
I don't think I like Mr Graham.

Oh, by the way, hello! First time poster (and Sam-addict) here.

And I'm really glad I'm not the only one who had that reaction! :-D ( ... )

I'm with you there. Sam was always the reason that I watched the show. Plus there was always that little detail that Gene may not have been real anyway. I mean I like Gene, but Sam was the real heart of that show.
