Ohhhh, this was beautiful and had me teary-eyed for a moment! Loved the way you described Stu Hunt's situation: it's exactly as I'd imagined it to be.

I hope things will get better for poor Sammy now that Gene has realised his DI needs to be shaken a little bit in order to get out of the drug-induced oblivion. Yay Action!Gene!!! ♥

Really loved that, both the trip into Gene's past and his reaction to Sam. I can clearly picture Stu now, (Ouch at Gene's mother and the 'Spain' thing!) and I'm really glad Gene's not gonna give up on Sammy-boy!
