Armed Bastards are GO!
We're pleased to announce that the Armed Bastards exchange - otherwise known as martianholiday - is running its 10th iteration for 2015! Don't miss out on this special occasion.
We want to appeal to as many fans and skillsets as possible, which means we welcome any kind of fanwork you'd like to create - fics, wallpapers, artwork, icons, gifs, vids, podfics, anything you fancy making. And the best part of an exchange - Everyone who makes a thing? Gets a thing in return from somebody else. You can see what people have created in previous years by looking at these tags.
You sign up with what you're willing to do, and then a little while later people give you their prompts. For the prompting stage, which will open on November 30th, feel free to treat us like your fannish Christmas wishlist. Anything you've been secretly hankering after, request it based on the offers people have made. Just bear in mind we want to keep the pressure low and the fest stress-free, so make requests small and relatively simple. We suggest ficlets of 300 words, tiny sketches, small vidlets or podfics of 1 minute, icon sets of 6, 1 or 2 phone/desktop wallpapers etc.
Dates for your diary:
SIGN UPS: Right now until Monday 30th November.
PROMPTING: 30th November until Monday 7th December.
CREATING: Monday 7th December - Sunday 27th December
POSTING: Sunday 27th December (don't panic if you're a little late, just make sure to be done by New Year!)
Because it's an exchange - after the 30th November, anyone who isn't signed up won't be able to prompt, so make sure to get your offers in before the end of the month.
