Summary: for philipcracker, and I can't paste the prompt in just now, but the request was for just what it says on the tin... Plus aliens. Well I was all over the idea of the team as CSI characters, although the aliens aspect also had me imagining Sam and Gene as Agents J and K from Men in Black.
I have a couple of additional interpretations in the works, but for now here's an iPhone pic of my two main men. (There's an alien in the background of the Sam pic with Litton in its claws--I was going to add Annie with an alien to the Gene pic, but I wanted to get something posted.)
